Rahm Emanuel says America is ready for a Jewish president: 'my faith is not your problem'
Former Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel tells Meet the Press he believes America is ready for a Jewish president. “If my faith is a problem for you, don't vote for me.”
What the coverage shows
NBC News and Fox News both foreground Rahm Emanuel’s claim that America is ready for a Jewish president and tie it to his appearance on Meet the Press. NBC’s headline and extract add his line, “my faith is not your problem,” while Fox frames the same comments as part of his weighing a 2028 Democratic presidential bid, which appears only in Fox’s extract.
