What the coverage shows
Both outlets frame the story as a Democratic-leaning midterm night with notable “firsts” and wins. BBC News takes a broader national angle, using “key moments” and saying Democrats have taken control of Congress, while Al Jazeera narrows the focus to California and says Democrats are holding the governor’s office and are on track for congressional wins.
