What the coverage shows
All three outlets center on Hegseth’s video response and the impeachment push, with Reuters and CBS also foregrounding his defense of the Iran war. CBS alone frames the piece around him potentially losing his job, while CNN uniquely describes the post as a “bewildering rant” and says it examines his broader tenure. Reuters is the most straightforward, repeating that he vowed to fight impeachment and called the war “courageous and historic.”
