Protester punched in face by Trump supporter, mocked by president at Ohio rally: 'Gotta go on a diet'

What the coverage shows

All three outlets frame the event as a live Trump rally in Youngstown or Ohio tied to the midterms. The Hill adds the clearest electoral context, saying he is rallying in Ohio for a key Senate race and seeking to boost GOP efforts, while CNN and PBS NewsHour keep to straightforward live coverage language. CNN’s later item is the only one that highlights a specific remark, saying he joked about Sen. Jon Husted’s physique.
