Abdul El-Sayed campaigns with Sen. Elizabeth Warren in Michigan

What the coverage shows

Both outlets center Abdul El-Sayed campaigning in Michigan ahead of the Senate race, but they frame the event differently. The Hill foregrounds his criticism of Trump policies and includes his reply to Trump’s metal-detector comment, while the Associated Press simply presents a live campaign appearance with Sen. Elizabeth Warren in Ypsilanti. The metal-detector exchange appears only in The Hill’s extract.
