Meghan "deeply distressed" as dad faces child abuse material probe
Thomas Markle, the estranged father of Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, is facing a probe in the Philippines over alleged possession of child sexual abuse materials.
What the coverage shows
All three outlets center Meghan Markle’s reaction to allegations involving her father, and NBC News and CBS News both use “deeply distressed” or close phrasing in their headlines. The South China Morning Post is the only one to foreground a Philippines investigation, while CBS News uniquely describes Thomas Markle as estranged and NBC identifies Meghan as the Duchess of Sussex.
