FBI claims teen plotted massive attack at Mall of America

What the coverage shows

Both outlets center on the same Mall of America terror-plot case and present it as a foiled attack, with federal charges and the suspect’s alleged targeting of the mall in both. Fox News foregrounds the police chief’s reaction and its own on-air analysis, while CNN leads with the federal news conference and the reported details of the alleged plan, including an AK-47 and hundreds of rounds of ammunition.
