Rays on verge of World Series return after Rasmussen dazzles in win over Guardians
Tampa Bay Rays 3-1 Cleveland Guardians Rays lead best of seven series 3-2 Drew Rasmussen shines over seven innings Tampa Bay’s Jonny DeLuca figured it was going to be a quiet day for the outfielders with Drew Rasmussen on the mound for Game 5 of the AL Championship Series against the Cleveland Guard
What the coverage shows
Both outlets focus on the Rays moving one win from the World Series after a strong Drew Rasmussen outing, and both note the team now leads the series 3-2. The Guardian US frames it as the Rays being on the verge of a return to the World Series, while Fox News uses more forceful language about Rasmussen “dominating” and says the Guardians are “to the brink.”
