Meghan Markle ‘deeply distressed’ by allegations her dad possessed child sexual abuse images
Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, said Friday that she was “deeply distressed” by allegations that her dad, Thomas Markle Sr., possessed child sexual abuse images.
What the coverage shows
Both outlets center Meghan’s reaction and the allegation involving Thomas Markle, with CBS News and NBC News using nearly the same headline framing. CBS News foregrounds that Thomas Markle is facing a probe in the Philippines, while NBC News instead emphasizes Meghan’s reported statement that she was “deeply distressed” by the allegations.
